BWO!

I was reading a blogging friend’s site “A Piece of Peace” when I noticed the following logo:

 blogging without obligation

And I clicked on it for further information.

RubyShooZ said, (in a nutshell) that she believed that everyone should blog without obligation. That a blog shouldn’t become a treadmill to you and you should only blog when you felt you had something to say – rather than because you felt obligated because sometimes, less is more.

BWO

She pointed out that you will not get the statistics of how many people visited your blog, or left a comment on it, engraved on your tombstone – so don’t be a martyr, blog with integrity and only when you feel like it!

BWO 2

Well I wholeheartedly agree, so I’ve joined the club! Thank you RubyShooZ for the logos  and the common sense.

  1. Ooh, I didn’t realize that you’d seen this or posted this! Please excuse me for being extremely slow.

I am so happy about that BWO and it’s made all the difference in the world to me and my writing on my blog. I wonder if it’s made a difference for you too.

    Peace to you today.

  2. Thanks Ruby – yes it has made a difference! It feels like a penny dropped and I realised that I can blog when I want to and not because I have to.

I finally managed to get the image in my sidebar too! Lol!

  3. I blog WITH obligation – to my sanity. There will come a day, though, when my sanity will have returned to a “new manifestation” and blogging may take on a less “survival” feel. Thanks for posting the BWO logo, so when that times comes, I can join.

  4. Cool – thanks for sharing. I’ve got to post the logo!

  5. What a great concept! I’m still pretty new at the Cat Blogosphere but I am already “stressing” over making sure I make my obligatory rounds each day! I’m slowly learning to weed-out some of my usual stops though! ;o)

  6. Hello, Jan

I wandered into your blog via the Alan Rickman link (whose career I have followed with interest since seeing him at Birmingham Repertory Theatre, many years ago)- when I saw the picture of Sidmouth I gasped- it’s my favourite holiday place in all the world -r eturning in 7 weeks’s time, yippee! – and then I saw “The Circle of Life”, which I listened to on the radio coming into work. Synchronicity or what? Thanks for all the fun and interesting items on your site, I’ve much enjoyed browsing around it.

  7. Wow this is awesome. Jan already you have pointed me to two things I have/want to put on my blog. Blogging without obligation is such a fantastic concept. Thanks for sharing and thanks to RubyShooz too.

    • Welcome Kirsten,

      BWO is great isn’t it!

  8. Jan,
Is it alright for me to use one of the BWO logos on this post?

    thanks
    Kirsten

    • Yes of course ~ help yourself!

  9. I believe in blogging without obligation – Blogging for love is the way forward. My Dad’s cousin is a cancer survivor and heart bypass survivor. He just had his 80th birthday, still rides a BMW motorbike and wears leathers. He’s a reiki master too and the coolest guy on the planet.
    xxx Abi
