Author’s choice: Something I saw that amazed me this summer …

Well it has to be the inside of Exeter Cathedral! I went inside for the first time this summer and it blew me away. The stunning architecture is unbelievable, especially when you consider the age of the building. I am in awe of the skills and craftsmanship of those who lived so many years ago. Incredible.
Because I wanted to download so many images today, I decided to use a new technique to make downloading easier. I downloaded the images “on mass” into my WordPress gallery and then posted them in the complete gallery form with just one click (it would have taken ages to post them one by one in the usual way). This method means that each individual image appears smaller ~ BUT you can biggify any image that you would like to see in more detail by just clicking on it. You can look at as few or as many as you wish by clicking on each in turn ~ by using the back button on your computer you can then return to the main post page again.
Until today, I didn’t even realise that I could download on mass on WordPress ~ it was trial and error but I’m impressed. I’m delighted as this is going to be a useful device for the occasions when I want to download a lot of pics in the future!
Below: Some of the snaps taken on my first visit to see the inside of Exeter Cathedral:

It is amazing! Why do they have so many banners all about? They are rather distracting from the architectural beauty. I love the cloudy skies and lighting on the outside shot. Fabulous!
