The first picture today is of my two much loved grandchildren ~ it was taken on their last visit in May. It was pouring with rain but they still wanted to go down to the beach and seafront. One of the many things I adore about Ad & Iz is their total enthusiasm to do things. Even getting wet in the rain is exciting to them. The photo was taken in the road where I live.

Ad and Iz in the rain!

And I’ve shown this clip before, but I so adore it I thought I’d post it again. Iz was very young in the video and Ad was just 4 years old. It was raining and we had taken a stroll down to the beach … then Add stood under a water spout! Well I suppose if you’re already wet, more water can’t do any harm!

And finally, I took the photos below on our local beach recently (just 4 minutes walk from our home). The tide had gone out but because the beach was still wet there were reflections ~ I especially love the first pic:

  1. I’d think I had died and gone to heaven if I lived where I could be at a beach in a 4 minute walk. You are sooooooooooooo blessed! What a place to visit. I remember the pics and vid of your grand kids playing and hooting it up in the rain, so sweet and will surely be a great childhood memory for them! These are great pics! How are you and the huz doing? How are the kitties? I hope you find yourself well! I missed you much! xoxoxox

    • Hi Anne,

Great to hear from you ~ I’ve been in a state of funk recently and haven’t blogged much. I’m on the waiting list for surgery ~ curetage of tumour site, biopsy, then bit of my hip being put in my leg. Great fun (NOT!).

P has had ripped retina with all the probs that creates. But we’re OK apart from that! LOL! And the kitties are gorjuss as ever!

      Love Jan xx

  2. Those pix of the beach with the reflections on the sand are neat- especially the boat. I enjoyed watching your video… reminds me of my childhood- every year it would rain on my birthday. I didn’t get sad, i’d try to go play in the puddles lol. very nice set of pix!

  3. i sent out a few invitations to other wordpress bloggers to join our photo fridays… we need to get this thing to take off again :)

    • Thanks Slim! It’s be great to get it off the ground again!

  4. beautiful!!!! I like the wet beach ones very very much (and I played, too, over at IdeaJump… I’m just not logged in right!)

  5. mine is up now thanks to my brother. your pictures are great. i really like the one of your grandkids

  6. Love the video with the rainy day pics, I need to try that with my new grandbaby (not the taking her out in the rain part , new mom and dad might not approve!) but the combining video and photos in a post. Your beach shots are lovely too, I wish I could walk to the ocean from my house. The boat shot is a definitely good one, catching reflection on the beach instead of in the water is unusual.

  7. i found out just now the best size for a panoramic photo on wordpress is 445×130- otherwise the whole picture gets cut off. just a heads up for u- u may like to tell others.
