My Favourite Photo (and a few words on why)
Now this is a hard choice … I have so many photos I love because they capture beautiful memories. That’s what photos are to me … memories captured. The photo I’ve chosen for today, you’ve seen before … it’s of my beloved late Grandad and me. I took it myself by setting the timer on my Nikon Coolpix digital camera. It was a happy day, near the end of Grandad’s life. We had fun taking the photo – it took several attempts and we laughed a lot. I had to set the timer and then run to get into position. Afterwards we had a cup of tea and a biscuit; it didn’t take much to make Grandad’s day. (This is the photo I have framed and keep in the drawing room – so I can see it daily).
Oh Grandad I miss you. RIP sweet man. I was so lucky to have a Grandad like you.

I can see why this is one of your favorites. It’s obvious how much fun you are having and how much you enjoy each other’s company.
Your granddad looks like such a sweet man.
Btw. I don’t think your Mr. Linky is working?
I’ve fixed it now! Jan

Just a random quote to share with you thinking about the loved ones that have gone heavenbound:
“When you are sorrowful
look again in your heart,
and you shall see that in truth
you are weeping for that
which has been your delight.”
~Kahlil Gibran
I am sorry for the loss of your Grandad, but think that you must have many precious memories of him from all the wonderful and loving post that you have shared about him. Thank you for all that you do share so often… it really is appreciated and often inspirational too!
It has been forever since I have been on the computer… Was sad to see the news of your granddad, but glad that you are still here and able to move forward with life. And it looks like you adopted two beautiful kitties!
You are in my thoughts and prayers often~

Hi Penny,
It’s great to see hear from you again. Thank you for the lovely comments about grandad. I miss him dearly – there is a grandad shaped hole in my heart. He was my touchstone in life, my wise elder, my friend, and now he is my Guardian Angel.
