Intrepid explorer in the deepest jungle!

Well OK, not quite! More like wee Milo in the garden! But he was intrepid, he did explore and it must have seemed like a jungle to him! LOL!

It was Milo’s first real time outside today (usually we only allow him out in a safe walled courtyard) – he wore a cat harness because loud noises frighten him and when he’s scared he runs away at speed in a blind panic. I was afraid he may be suddenly startled because our next door neighbour has a  yappy snappy dog that is inclined to squeeze through the fence and harass and harangue anything that moves. Milo didn’t like the harness and lead much but I felt it was safer (since he is still only 16 weeks old) and once he was outside and distracted by the interesting smells and sounds, he soon got used to it. That’s my boy!

  1. So cute.

  2. Leafless,

Milo just loved it outside. He was very nervous though and shook/shivered with fear most of the time.

He can be a right rufty tufty indoors – but put him outside on his lead and you realise he is still “a very wee scared of everything kitten”.

I hope to take him out regularly so he gradually gets used to it. He is a long way off ever being outside without a harness though …. maybe I’m over protective … but I’d be heartbroken to lose him.

  3. I’m too overprotective to let my cats out much. I suppose there aren’t many dangers to them in my neighborhood, but I’m pretty sure if someone offered them better food than I do, they’d abandon me.
