I love messing around with a camera and when I’m not taking photos, my next best enjoyable pass-time is tinkering with the photographs themselves (second only to reading & writing). So Photographic Art is right up my street!

I’ve been trying out all manner of different photographic tweaks this week, (oil paint effect, pop art, ripple, ink line, chalk and pastel, light manipulation, chrome effects) and I’ve applied the effects to a multitude of different photographs I’ve taken around the World, from contemporary urban landscapes to portraits and objects.

But when it came down to it, the one two  (I couldn’t make my mind up which one to use) I decided would be my chosen “Photographic Art”  entries -  are just ordinary snaps taken on my local beach, with a simple application of a water colour effect. I like them so much I have decided to print them out and make them into birthday cards for friends because I just love the vibrancy of the colours and the simplicity of the changed images.

Yes, we can definitely do this again – maybe in a couple of weeks? That will give us time to prepare something.

  7. Oh I’m ready now for a walk on the beach! I’m going to have to head down to the shore after work tonight for a quick jaunt at sunset.

  8. Hi Divakitty,

What a splendid way to blow away the cobwebs of the week and prepare for a wonderful weekend. :-)

  9. Jan – my photo Friday is getting lots of hits (way more than normal…) Anyway, I’ll be in California for a few days and OF COURSE – I’ll have my camera with me. :) Talk at ya next week.

  10. Hi CuriousC,

It’s just great when that happens isn’t it? it could be that someone has linked your post because they liked it so much. Have you checked the blog statistics to see if your visitors are from a specific source?

I checked to see if you were haute post (since that has generated many visitors in the past for me) but you were not.

Whatever, enjoy. It’s always great to have lots of people looking at your posts – especially when it’s artwork you’ve created. :-)

PS: Have a great weekend and don’t forget to take some photos to share!

  11. This is amazing! Haven’t played much with my photos, but will definitely look into it. Sorry I missed this week. Will work to accomplish next week’s A view through my window….here in colorado we have wonderful views…
