I am noticing a common theme here related to Zebras.

Hi totaltransformation – yes, I have to admit I came across the image above of the zebras and I thought it was such a superb bit of photography that I wanted to post it. I couldn’t think of any good reason to do so – so I decided to continue the theme! LOL!
Talking of good photography/graphics – I looked at your blog site – congratulations on your total transformation. Huge applause!

They say you can’t domesticate a zebra, so I guess when ol’ Blue conks out, I’ll have to get a horse… I don’t like the new cars!
I think we’ve all been given a measure of common sense that’s been dulled by our programmed reliance on the medical profession.

UH, does that mean you’ll change your name to urban cowboy? Lol!
I agree about our common sense being dulled – having cancer woke mine up pretty damn fast though!
I have to admit I have little faith in doctors – they really do look with blinkers on – as you said before – you need to make your own decisions by researching the facts and not rely on them. At least then you’re in with half a chance of a correct diagnosis.

I’d say better than half a chance, girl. Doctors learn the same way we do, from others telling them and through books. They put their pants on (guys, anyway) one leg at a time, same as I do. They’re not the gods and goddesses many make them out to be, just human like the rest of us, and prone to mistakes in the same way.
We all have cancer cells in us, and it is often environment or nutritional influences that spur them to growth. I say this as a result of my wife’s teachings and most of my health-conscious friend’s admonitions. I am not as focused on those things as they are, but I try to eat and live sensibly according to my own determinations and interpretations. I don’t like rich food, and rarely eat dessert with a meal. I swill coffee like it’s going out of style, but pop doesn’t interest me all that much, unless I need a quick boost due to my Hypoglycemia.
I was once simply known as “The Highwayman” until a very disgruntled and angry reader/friend told me I needed to get my act together! So… UBER (super) Highwayman was born!
I’ve had several blogs over the years… none of those were named “Urban Cowboy” nor will they ever be!

Glad to hear UH! I’ve only just got used to UH instead of Hex!
BTW – did the name “Hex” have a meaning behind it?

When I was younger, I used to be a fan of a comic book character named “Jonah Hex”, an ex-Confederate soldier turned bounty hunter, who travelled the west getting into all kinds of difficulties and adventures… he even met some aliens and became a time-traveller!
Hex was a loner and a fighter, and was disfigured by an enemy. I can identify with those features of his character with my own life.

I followed the link to look at your comic book character – cool!
If I was a comic book character I’d be “Wonder Woman” !
Why? because she is a divine creation with superhuman powers. She has enhanced senses, great wisdom and intelligence, can communicate with animals and is multi-lingual. She has strength, stamina AND is a master (or should that be mistress?) of armed and unarmed combat – proficient in nearly every weapon ever made. And as if that’s not enough – she is an accomplished strategist and tactitian, practiced in the art of leadership, persuasion and diplomacy.
And she is incredibly sexy looking too – especially when using her exotic style of martial arts! She can fly – the skill I covet the most. I frequently have dreams that I can fly – they are incredibly real, and I hate waking up to find I’m earth bound!
Unfortunately, I can’t identify with these features of her character in my own life!

Sigh! – back to reality now!

I used to watch “Wonder Woman” too, Jan… for (ahem) slightly different reasons than you!
I’ve always liked westerns, and am a die-hard Eastwood fan!
Reality? What’s that?

UH, Reality? Ummmm, is the boring bit when we’re not blogging!
Clint Eastwood is one of my all time favourites too!
